Molly M. Garrett

Ms. Garrett is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Ms. Garrett was selected as a Top Lawyer by the Washingtonian Magazine and Northern Virginia Magazine (every year since 2020). She has also been included in Super Lawyers® each year since 2014, including being listed in the Top 50 Women Virginia. In addition, she has been included in The Best Lawyers in America since 2019.

She is an active member of the Fairfax County Bar Association (Wills Trusts & Estates Section, Family Law Section and previously served on the Judicial Screening Committee).

She is also a member of the Arlington County Bar Association, the Alexandria Bar Association and the Virginia Women’s Attorneys Association (where she is the past President of the Northern Virginia Chapter and previously served as Secretary and Judicial Chair for many years). Ms. Garret also previously served as the Chair of the Family Law Section of the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association.

Ms. Garrett is happy to share her knowledge, training and experience with the community. She teaches courses on estate planning and administration at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at George Mason University. She has also authored multiple articles which have been published in the Virginia Lawyers Weekly, Virginia Family Law Quarterly published by the Family Law Section of Virginia State Bar and Fairfax Woman Magazine. She has organized, prepared and hosted Continuing Legal Education classes for many organizations including the Fairfax Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. She also volunteers with Wills for Heroes. She also enjoys giving small group presentations to different communities groups and associations.

She lives in Alexandria and is a member of the Old Dominion Boat Club.
